Coalition  OUR HISTORY
The Randolph County America's Promise Coalition

OUR HISTORY

The Randolph County America's Promise Coalition was originally formed as a committee of the Randolph County Family Resource Network (RCFRN) in 1997.  A group of individuals representing service agencies, nonprofits, and other organizations began meeting to discuss issues involving youth in Randolph County.  The group also began to recognize businesses, agencies, and individuals for their contributions to supporting youth in the community.  Beginning in the fall of 2005, the committee developed into a true coalition.  While the RCFRN continues to serve as the fiscal agency for the Coalition, a federal grant for substance abuse prevention has allowed the Coalition to grow to include a diverse cross-section of Randolph County.  The Coalition now has staff dedicated to helping build capacity within the community.
